Abstract

Primary infection. Morphological, pathogenetical studies of acquired, acute toxoplasmosis in dogs have given fairly good indication for the primary infection being alimentary, enterogenous with complete or incomplete primary complex in the gastrointestinal tract and mesenterial lymph nodes (Olafson et al. 1942; Sjolte 1947, 1948; Grocott 1950; Jasper 1951; Møller 1951, 1959; Walzl 1955).
