Zusammenfassung

Die Technik zur Messung radioaktiver Isotope wurde in den letzten Jahren wesentlich verbessert. Für die Anwendung radioaktiver Isotope in der Physiologie und Diagnostik ist vor allem die Entwicklung der festen und flüssigen Szintillatoren und die Verbesserung der Gaszählung von Bedeutung. Mancher Fortschritt der Meßtechnik ist undenkbar ohne die Erfolge radioaktiver Indicatoren in der Medizin und Biologie. Eine weitere, beachtenswerte Entwicklung ist der Aufbau von leistungsfähigen Anlagen zur Isotopenerzeugung in Kliniken, Universitäten und Forschungszentren. Dadurch werden im steigenden Maße kurzlebige Isotope verfügbar.
