Abstract

The problem of the prognosis of the nephrotic syndrome in childhood has been thoroughly debated in recent years, especially in relation to steroid therapy: actually, while definitive remissions have been reported in 80—90% of the cases by some authors (1, 2, 3, 4) less good results were achieved by others (5, 6, 7, 8).
