Zusammenfassung

Zur Beurteilung der Salben mit vorwiegend lokaler, meist antibakterieller Wirkung sind in den letzten Jahren Diffusionsversuche durchgeführt worden, welche den besten Einsatz hinsichtlich des Prozentgehaltes der Wirkstoffe wie auch der verschiedenen Salbengrundlagen zum Thema hatten. Burnside u. Kuever 2 wiesen bereits 1940 darauf hin, daß wasserlösliche Salbengrundlagen für antiseptische Substanzen eine größere Diffusionsmöglichkeit und so eine bessere antibakterielle Wirkung aufweisen. Prusack u. Mattocks 3 prüften die Wirksamkeit von Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromid gegen Staphylococcus aureus in verschiedenen Salbengrundlagen und konnten die beste Diffusion aus einer Pektinpaste, sowie einer Polyäthylenoxydsalbe mit 10% Wasser feststellen. Ähnlich äußern sich Büchi u. Schlumpf 4, die bei vaselinhaltigen Öl/Wa-Salben mit steigendem Wassergehalt eine Zunahme der antiseptischen Wirkung feststellten.
