Ergebnisse der Hygiene Bakteriologie Immunitätsforschung und experimentellen Therapie

Zusammenfassung

Obwohl die aktive Schutzimpfung gegen Diphtherie erst vor wenigen Jahren ausführlich in den „Ergebnissen“ behandelt worden ist, macht die inzwischen zustande gekommene rasche Entwicklung schon wieder eine Darstellung der neugewonnenen Ergebnisse erforderlich. Die kurze Frist hat genügt, um die früher in Deutschland angewandten Impfstoffe völlig zu verdrängen und an ihre Stelle wesentlich wirksamere und ungefährlichere Präparate zu setzen. Den Impuls, von dem diese Entwicklung ausgegangen ist, brachte die Auffindung einer exakten Methode zur Messung der antigenen Wirksamkeit der Impfstoffe.
