Das „Malum perforans pedis“

Zusammenfassung

Der Name, sowie die ersten Kenntnisse über das mal perforant stammen aus Frankreich. Nelaton hat im Jahre 1852 eine hartnäckige, geschwürige Fußaffektion als „maladie singulière des os du pied“ beschrieben, später stellte sich heraus, daß es sich in diesem Falle um Leprageschwüre und nicht um ein mal perforant im heutigen Sinne des Wortes gehandelt hat, doch wurde diese Publikation zum Ausgangspunkt einer Reihe in den nächsten Jahren erscheinender Veröffentlichungen über geschwürige Prozesse in der Fußsohle, von denen sich die meisten allerdings unter den verschiedensten Namen auf das echte mal perforant bezogen. Der Name „mal plantaire perforant“ wurde zuerst von Vésigné,einem Schüter Nelatons, gebraucht. Das mal perforant wurde bald eines der beliebtesten Themata der französischen Chirurgen und Neurologen.
