Zusammenfassung

Die Unsicherheit der Ergebnisse bei allen Behandlungsmethoden der chronischen, nicht tuberkulösen Arthritiden hat es mit sich gebracht, daß man die bei anderen Erkrankungen gemachten zum Teil guten Erfahrungen mit der Spaneinpflanzung in ihren verschiedenen Formen auch auf diese Fälle zu übertragen versuchte. Im Verlauf meiner Arbeit ist es mir immer klarer geworden, daß diese Versuche nun durchaus nicht vereinzelt geblieben sind, sondern daß sie heute schon zu einer sehr stattlichen Anzahl angewachsen sind. Aber es besteht meines Wissens noch kein zusammenfassender Bericht über die bisherigen doch sehr zerstreuten Ergebnisse, so daß es für mich sowohl eine dankenswerte wie auch nützliche Aufgabe zu sein scheint, das Problem der Behandlung der chronischen Arthritiden einmal von dem Standpunkt der Knochenspaneinpflanzung möglichst zusammenfassend zu beleuchten.
