Zusammenfassung

Nach Gabriel Bertrand1 sollen die Kohlehydrate Glyeide heißen, die den Zuckern nahestehenden Alkohole die Endung „ol“ erhalten, z. B. Mannitol, Glykol. Für die Diosen usw. werden die Namen Homodiglykoside, Homotriglykoside usw. vorgeschlagen, für die Verbindungen aus einfachem Zucker und einer prosthetischen Gruppe (die bisherigen Glykoside) Heteroglykoside1.
