Zusammenfassung
Die Spektralphotometrie beschäftigt sich mit der Vergleichung der Intensität zweier Lichtströme derselben Wellenlänge. Von den Anwendungen spektralphotometrischer Methoden seien besonders drei hervorgehoben: 1. die Messung der relativen Helligkeitsverteilung im Spektrum eines Körpers, 2. die Untersuchung des Reflexionsvermögens der Stoffe für bestimmte Wellenlängen; eine dritte wichtige Anwendung ist diejenige für quantitative Absorptionsmessungen in bestimmten Spektralgebieten; sie wird in einem besonderen Abschnitt Absorptionsphotometrie behandelt.
