Zusammenfassung

Leukämien sind generalisierte Systemerkrankungen des hämatopoetischen Apparates. Die „Weißblütigkeit“, die auffallende Vermehrung der weißen Elemente, ist das klinisch markante. Man spricht von aleukämischer oder subleukämischer Leukämie, wenn dieses Zeichen fehlt bzw. wenn die Leukocytenveränderung nur qualitativ im Blutbild erkennbar ist. Für die Betrachtung jeder Leukämieform ist es wichtig, daran zu erinnern, daß der gesamte hämatopoetische Apparat aus Einzelsystemen besteht. Außer dem im Vordergrunde stehenden System kann jeder weitere Zellstrang für sich im positiven oder negativen Sinne proliferativ oder aplastisch beteiligt sein.
