Zusammenfassung

Obwohl man aus den frühesten Mitteilungen ihrer Untersuchungen nicht entnehmen kann, daß Minkowski und von Mering eine innere Sekretion des Pankreas als seine antidiabetische Wirkung im Sinne hatten, so mußte dies doch der Fall gewesen sein, da im Jahre 1892 Minkowski Ergebnisse von Versuchen mitteilte, in denen es ihm nicht gelungen war, irgendeine Heilwirkung von Extrakten exstirpierter Pankreasdrüsen, die man pankreasexstirpierten Tieren injizierte, zu beobachten.
