Zusammenfassung
Vor 7 Jahren wurde die Hypothese aufgestellt, daß Hormone durch Beeinflussung des genetischen Materials wirken können1. Diese Hypothese war eine Schlußfolgerung aus dem bekannten Experiment von Clever und Karlson 2, die gezeigt haben, daß das Insektenhormon Ecdyson morphologische Veränderungen an den Riesenchromosomen der Speicheldrüsen von Chironomus tentans auslösen kann, Veränderungen, die als Puffs bekannt sind.
