Zusammenfassung

Das Wachstumshormon der Hypophyse ist seit mehreren Jahrzehnten in einen engen Zusammenhang mit dem Diabetes gestellt worden und wird als wesentlicher diabetogener Faktor der Hypophyse angesehen. Dies gilt für Tierversuche, und ich glaube, es ist nicht notwendig, die reichhaltige Literatur auf diesem Gebiet zu erwähnen. In der gegenwärtigen Diabetesforschung beim Menschen nimmt das Wachstumshormon eine periphere Stellung ein. Trotzdem sind wir der Meinung, daß es in diesem Zusammenhang wahrscheinlich eine wesentliche Rolle spielen wird.
