Zusammenfassung

Das murine Fleckfieber ist eine in südlichen Gegenden sporadisch vorkommende Krankheit. Es ist gekennzeichnet durch kontinuierliches Fieber von ca. zwei Wochen, Kopfschmerzen und ein papulo-makulöses Exanthem. Wegen geringer Letalität wird es in der französischen Literatur zu den rickettsioses mineures gezählt. Die natürlichen Wirte des Erregers R. mooseri (Monteiro 1931) sind Ratten, von welchen die Infektion durch den Rattenfloh Xenopsylla cheopis auf den Menschen übertragen wird. Das murine Fleckfieber wird mit dem klassischen Fleckfieber in Zusammenhang gebracht, weil zwischen den beiden gegenseitige postinfektiöse Immunität besteht.
