Zusammenfassung

Die Röteln sind eine erst im letzten Jahrhundert von Masern und Scharlach abgegrenzte spezifische exanthematische Erkrankung, die vorwiegend Kinder und jugendliche Erwachsene befällt. Neu belebt wurde das Interesse an dieser als harmlos angesehenen Infektion durch die Beobachtung der Rötelnembryo-pathie von Gregg [17] 1941 und die in den letzten Jahren gelungene Züchtung des Rötelnvirus.
