Summary

744 leprous patients who never had ophthalmological care or local eye treatment were examinated for changes in the uveal tract It has been shown that in both types of leprosy the anterior uveal tract only is involved. No specific changes in the posterior segment have been detected. Complications are more common in the lepromatous type than in the tuberculoid type of leprosy.
