Präoperative CEA-Werte beim Magenkarzinom: Prognostische Bedeutung?

Zusammenfassung

Die CEA-Serumbestimmung gilt als nützlicher Parameter bei der postoperativen Überwa­chung von Magenkarzinompatienten. Nur wenige Autoren haben sich mit der prognosti­schen Bedeutung präoperativ bestimmter CEA-Spiegel beschäftigt. Die Faktoren, welche die Abgabe des in den Karzinomzellen gebildeten CEA beeinflussen sind unzureichend bekannt. Es sollte deswegen in dieser Arbeit zwei Fragen nachgegangen werden: 1) Welche Faktoren beeinflussen die Höhe des CEA-Serumspiegels? 2) Kann ein erhöhter CEA-Serumspiegel prognostische Informationen liefern?
