Recent Tidal Deposits, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Arabian Gulf
Holocene tidal flats, sabkhas,* and lagoon complexes south of the city of Abu Dhabi in the Arabian Gulf near 24°30′ N, 54°2O′E. Similar areas of tidal flats, sabkhas, and lagoons occur intermittently along the western coast of the Arabian Gulf (Persian Gulf) from Dubai on the east to Kuwait on the north.
