On some threedimensional flow phenomena of the transsonic type

  • Conference paper
Symposium Transsonicum

Abstract

The intention of the present paper is to describe in context some fluid-motion problems of the mixed type, which are not quite of the kind commonly treated in the classical papers and textbooks. In particular, most of them are not concerned with flow phenomena which occur at mainstream Mach numbers near unity. The problems considered have all in common that they are related to threedimensional flows. Another common feature is that they all arise in the design of aircraft and other flying vehicles.
