The Cu-Zn-Au-Ag Deposit of La Plata (Toachi), Ecuador

The La Plata deposit is situated at 78°56′W longitude and 00°23′S latitude on the Pacific slope of the western Cordillera. It lies at an altitude of some 1450 m in rugged mountainous terrain, that belongs to the Ecuadorian province of Pichincha. Most of the area is covered by dense vegetation characteristic of the tropical rainforest.
