Zusammenfassung
In vielen Bereichen des täglichen Lebens und der wissenschaftlichen Forschung sieht man sich genötigt, eine (i.a. große). Menge von Objekten anhand von Test- und Versuchsergebnissen (auch: Eigenschaften) in eine (i.a. kleine) Anzahl möglichst “homogener” Gruppen ( Klassen) aufzuteilen. Man hofft, daß diese Gruppen kennzeichenden Strukturen der Objektmenge entsprechen oder sogar kausal deutbare Zusammenhänge zwischen Eigenschaften und Objekten erkennen lassen.
