Based upon my experience, there is only one reasonable answer to the “right” paradigm given the fact that real-time applications and systems must be dealt with abstractly and concretely by a variety of vested interest parties. These parties most often have varying backgrounds and abilties to understand real-time system solutions. Consequently, the “right” paradigm must be “designed for understandability”, that is, it is understandable to all vested interest parties in terms that each party can comprehend.
