Zusammenfassung
Diese Arbeit will ein Gebiet der mathematischen Statistik vorstellen, in dem in den vergangenen 15 Jahren große, anwendungsrelevante Fortschritte erzielt wurden. Eine Nebenabsicht ist es, einige grundsätzliche Gedanken der mathematischen Statistik zu diskutieren. Die zu präsentierenden Methoden sind für intervall- oder zumindest ordinalskalierte Daten gedacht. Die Beispiele entstammen Projekten der psychiatrischen Epidemiologie oder sind mit MonteCarlo-Methoden erzeugte künstliche Daten (Pseudozufallszahlen); die letzteren eignen sich für pädagogische Zwecke gut, weil unter kontrollierten Bedingungen unterschiedliche Methoden verglichen werden können.
