Zusammenfassung
Als wichtiges Strukturierungsmittel für das “Programmieren im Großen” wird die Modularisierung — oft in Verbindung mit der Datenabstraktion — angesehen. Ein Modul wird als kontextunabhängige Systemkomponente angesehen, die eine Funktion erledigt oder eine Datenabstraktion bereitstellt, durch eine Schnittstellenbeschreibung definiert ist, geringe Querbezüge zu anderen Moduln besitzt, als Arbeitseinheit dient und im Umfang handlich, überschaubar und verständlich ist. Die Sprachkonzeptionen MIL 75 [De Remer/Kron], BALG [Goos], SLAN und CDL2 [Koster], CLU [Liskov], Alphard [Wu1f/London/Shaw] und MODULA [Wirth] werden beschrieben und verglichen. Es zeigt sich, daß die Vorstellungen über modulare Sprachkonzepte noch divergent sind.
