Photochemical decarbonylation

Photodecarbonylation processes have not received much attention from organic chemists until recently. In the following chapter only a few outstanding examples of condensed phase decarbonylation processes will be discussed; for a survey on photolytic decarbonylation in the gas phase the reader is referred to Srinivasan [1].
