Zusammenfassung

Seit McCarey und Kaufman (1974) eine einfache Methode zur Aufbewahrung von Hornhäuten für Keratoplastiken veröffentlichten, sind zahlreiche Berichte über Erfolge bei Transplantationen mit diesen aufbewahrten Hornhäuten erschienen (Bigar und Schimmelpfennig, 1976; Binder et al., 1978; van Horn und Schultz, 1977). Das sogenannte MK-Medium besteht aus TC199, Antibiotika und 5% Dextran (mg 40 000).
