Zusammenfassung
Aktive Beweglichkeit ist eine Grundeigenschaft tierischer und pflanzlicher Zellen. Morphologisches Substrat dieser Fähigkeit ist das Cytoskelett, dessen einzelne Bestandteile und Funktion in Kap.6 (S.151) beschrieben wurden. Es spielt eine große Rolle bei der Ausbildung und Aufrechterhaltung bestimmter Zellformen, bei der amöboiden Beweglichkeit vieler Zellen, für die Funktion von Cilien und Flagellen und ist daneben an verschiedenen Formen des intracellulären Transports z. B. von Partikeln und Organellen beteiligt. Dazu gehören die Chromosomenbewegung bei der Zellteilung, der Stofftransport in Nervenaxonen, die Sekretion von Hormonen und die Wanderung von Pigmenten.
