Abstract
Due to a very great flatness of spiral galaxies, they are normally, for the sake of theoretical analysis, represented in the form of infinitely thin disks [34,355]. A similar representation proves to be useful also for the description of objects of a quite different nature possessing a similar geometry: Saturn’s rings, the protoplanetary cloud of the Solar System, and others (see Chapter XII).
