Abstract
I want to sell neuroanatomy as a kind of psychology — as its most concrete and ultimate form. This may not be what people have in mind who turn to psychology expecting confirmation of their own insights into conscious and unconscious motivations. Rather, this essay is intended as a contribution to a new science of the mind as it is bound to emerge soon. I am sure that computer science, attempts at creating “artificial intelligence ”, in short, the techniques of information processing will lead the way.
