Zusammenfassung

Unter „Acanthosis nigricans“ wird ein Symptomenkomplex verstanden, charakterisiert durch drei Kardinalsymptome — Papillarhyperplasie, Hyperpigmentation, Hyperkeratose — und ein bestimmtes Lokalisationsbestreben mit Axillen, Nacken, Hals und äußeren Genitalien als wesentlichen Prädilektionsstellen. Entsprechend der Verlaufsform werden zwei Typen oder Spielarten unterschieden: die maligne Form, die mit einem bösartigen Tumor, meist einem Adeno-Carcinom, vergesellschaftet ist; und die benigne Form, bei der ein solcher Tumor fehlt.
