Abstract
Most blood vessels are visible on spin echo magnetic resonance (MR) images and can be identified without any contrast medium. The absence of intraluminal signal in vessels containing fast-flowing blood provides natural contrast with the signal of the wall or of perivascular fat (Fig. 1) [3, 4, 5, 11, 14, 16].
