Abstract
The experiments were chosen for their educational value and have two objectives. First, active transport will be demonstrated in terms of the short circuit current (SCC). The ionic species transported will be identified by comparing the SCC with the net flux of sodium as measured by tracer techniques. Second, hormonal influence of active transport (SCC) will be observed. The hormonal effect will be analyzed in more detail in terms of a compartmental model of frog-skin.
