Abstract

The interactions of Rb+ and Cs+ with the cation transporting system in baker’s yeast will be measured under selected experimental conditions using 86Rb and 137Cs as tracers. The data obtained will be analyzed in terms of a kinetic model based on the Michaelis-Menten treatment of enzyme reactions [1].
