Abstract
The preceding contribution has outlined the principles of measuring ionic currents by means of voltage clamp in myelinated nerve fibres. The method (Fig. 1) developed by Frankenhaeuser has been demonstrated to the participants of the course. At this time, Nonner had just started using a new method which since then has proved its superiority. It seems therefore justified to describe it shortly and to give a few examples of the results obtained on rat nerve fibres, illustrating also the general outline given by Frankenhaeuser in the preceding contribution.
