Zusammenfassung

Das Mediastinum oder der Mittelfellraum ist der intrathorakale Raum zwischen den beiden Lungen. Er enthält das Herz und zahlreiche Gefäße, die Trachea und die beiden Hauptbronchien, die Speiseröhre, Nerven, die mediastinalen Lymphknoten und die Thymusreste (Abb. 642 und 643).
