Zusammenfassung

Die sklerokorneale Trepanation (Elliot, 1909, men, insbesondere bei medikamentös nicht 1913) war lange Zeit hindurch die bevorzugte einstellbaren primären chronischen Glauko-Operation bei verschiedenen Glaukomformen. Keine andere Operation des primären Glaukoms hat eine solche Verbreitung erreicht, was zweifellos auf die damit zu erzielenden hohen Quoten von Druckregulierung (70–90%) zurückzuführen ist.
