Abstract

The 252Cf fission fragment induced desorption mass spectrometry, spreading from Texas A&M University [1], is now utilized world-wide in more than ten laboratories. Before applying a new analytical technique for quantitative measurements one should investigate the sensitivity and reproducibility of the given equipment [2,3]. Besides standardization of this time-of-flight mass spectrometry is discussed.
