Zusammenfassung
Unter den entzündlichen Herzerkrankungen nehmen die mikrobiell bedingten Endokarditiden wegen ihrer Inzidenz, der häufigen diagnostischen und therapeutischen Probleme und Komplikationen und der auch heute noch relativ hohen Letahtät eine herausragende Rolle ein.
