Zusammenfassung
Staphylokokkenkrankheiten sind Erkrankungen, die durch Erreger der Species Staphylococcus verursacht sind. Sie entsprechen nur in dieser Hinsicht dem Begriff „Infektionskrankheit“, denn es ist weder durch denselben Keim dasselbe Krankheitsbild hervorzurufen (Spezifität), noch zeigen die Krankheitsbilder einen klassischen voraussagbaren oder cyclischen Verlauf (Konstanz). Es ist keine Inkubationszeit bekannt und es kommt zu keiner klinisch oder experimentell faßbaren Immunität. Man muß daher die Staphylokokkenkrankheiten als Lokal-Infektionen im Sinne Hörings (1962) bezeichnen, wobei der Lokalprozeß zum Herd einer Generalisation und damit einer septischen Erkrankung im Sinne der Definition Schottmüllers (1914) und Bingolds (1952) werden kann. Bei dieser Erkrankung spielen die Toxine der Staphylokokken eine mehr oder weniger große Rolle. Eine ausschließliche Rolle spielen sie bei der ebenfalls möglichen Toxikose im Rahmen der Nahrungsmittelvergiftung und der Darminfektionen. Wie weit durch immunbiologische Vorgänge Erkrankungen des rheumatischen Formenkreises auf Staphylokokken zurückzuführen sind, ist noch nicht genügend geklärt (Lindenmann, 1958).
