Zusammenfassung

Als „Pasteurellose“ des Menschen bezeichnet man eine durch Past. multocida, einem gramnegativen Stäbchen, ausgelöste Infektionskrankheit, die in Abhängigkeit von Art und Ort der Infektion zu klinisch verschiedenen Verlaufsformen und meist pathologisch-anatomisch uncharakteristischen Befunden führt. Im Vordergrund stehen bei der menschlichen Pasteurellose die nach Biß- u. a. Hautverletzungen durch kranke oder keimtragende Tiere ausgelösten Wundinfektionen mit phlegmonösem oder abscedierendem Verlauf. Außerdem werden vor allem als Folgen von Schädeltraumen oder -operationen Entzündungen der Meningen und Nebenhöhlen gesehen, die, ebenso wie die immer häufiger als Pasteurellainfektionen ätiologisch geklärten Erkrankungen des Respirationstraktes, auf vorausgegangene latente Infektionen der oberen und unteren Luft- und Atemwege mit Pasteurellen zurückgeführt werden. Das Erregerresevoir ist im Tierreich zu suchen.
