Zusammenfassung
Seitdem 1953 die ersten Adenoviren in Gewebekulturen von Tonsillen und Rachenmandeln entdeckt wurden (Rowe et al.), sind bisher 30 immunologisch verschiedene Typen beim Menschen sowie insgesamt 16 Typen von Affen, Hunden, Rindern und Mäusen isoliert worden. Den Adenoviren verwandt sind das Hunde-hepatitis-Virus (ICHV: infectious canine hepatitis virus) (Kapsenberg, Furminger, Darbyshire), das GAL-Virus der Hühner (Ginsberg, 1962) sowie das CELO-Virus (Petek et al.).
