Zusammenfassung

Respiratorische Komplikationen zählen zu den häufigsten postoperativen Problemen nach Operationen überhaupt. Sie tragen erheblich zur Erhöhung der Morbidität und Verlängerung des Krankenhausaufenthaltes nach chirurgischen Eingriffen bei und stellen damit eine ernsthafte, bei der Indikation zur Operation mit einzubeziehende Fragestellung dar.
