Abstract
Three brief reviews on tumor immunology, viral oncolysis and inborn resistance of mice to viruses introduce a description of the following experimental model. A2G mice, which are naturally resistant to myxoviruses, are inoculated with a nonspecific ascites tumor. Several days later oncolysis is induced by infection of the tumor with a tumor-adapted strain of influenza virus, WSA. Mice surviving oncolysis are solidly immune to challenge with several nonspecific ascites tumors.
