Zusammenfassung
Für den Ablauf einer Antigen-Antikörper-Reaktion ist im allgemeinen die Anwesenheit von Komplement notwendig; nur in geringerem Maße trifft dies für die hier anzuführenden Reaktionen im leuko- und thrombozytären System zu, da für die Agglutination kein Komplement benötigt wird. Dennoch kann im Rahmen anderer Reaktionen der Komplementschwund bei der Antigen-Antikörper-Reaktion bedeutsam sein, da hieraus Schlüsse auf die Natur des Antigens oder des Immunserums gezogen werden können. Es handelt sich dabei um eine indirekte Methode, die durch ein hämolytisches System sichtbar gemacht wird.
