Mg(OH)2 (Brucit) und Ca(OH)2 kristallisieren in einem Schichtgitter vom CdJ2-Typ. Nach Neutronenbeugungsmessungen1) und den IR- und Raman-Spektren2) liegen die O_H-Bindungen senkrecht zu den Schichten (Abb. 10).
