Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahren haben wir mehrfach Frauen gesehen, die in der unmittelbaren peripartalen Periode oder einige Wochen nach der Entbindung mit akuten und schweren kardialen Erscheinungen erkrankten. Einige Frauen sind verstorben. Die erhobenen klinischen und pathologisch-anatomischen Befunde entsprachen jenem Krankheitsbild, das zumal in den letzten drei Jahrzehnten im englischsprachigen Schrifttum mehrfach als „Post partum heart disease“Bearbeitung gefunden hat.
