Zusammenfassung
Der chronische Kopfschmerz gilt gleichsam als Zivilisations-krankheit. Nach Angaben Heycks leidet etwa 4-8% der Ge samtbevölkerung an Kopfschmerzen. Friedmann und Merritt stellen fest, daβ 50% der Patienten, die ärztliche Hilfe suchen, über Kopfschmerzen klagen. Der übermäβige Gebrauch schmerzlindernder Mittel ist oft eher schädlich als nützlich; dennoch ersuchen die Kranken den Arzt Tag für Tag, diese Mittel zu verordnen. Wir müssen uns als Ziel nicht eine symptomatische, sondern nach Moglichkeit eine kausale Behandhmg setzen.
