Geldtheorie ist eine ideale Spielwiese zur Entwicklung unkonventioneller, zum Teil recht arbiträrer und kontroverser Überlegungen — dies deshalb, weil hier ein einheitliches, allgemein akzeptiertes Paradigma fehlt — im Gegensatz etwa zur mikroökonomischen Theorie des allgemeinen Gleichgewichts.
