Bevor wir uns mit dem Einfluß der Luftradioaktivität auf die Ioni sation der Luft befassen, müssen wir die drei Hauptquellen der Luftionisation näher betrachten. Dabei stützen wir uns auf eingehende und langjährige Untersuchungen von V. F. Hess und Mitarb. (1926, 1934, 1952, 1953a, b, c, 1954, 1955, 1956), W. D. Parkinson und R. I. Weller (1953), J. A. Chalmers (1946), W. Kolhöster (1924) u. a. Umfangreiche Literatur-und Datensammlung siehe W. M. Lowder und L. R. Solon (1956). Neueste Literatur: J. Law (1963).
