Abstract
Passive transfer of the eczematous sensitivity is very important in understanding the mechanism of the delayed eczematous reaction, all the more so since until now, it has not been possible to prove the existence of antibodies in the serum, in either man or animals. This impossibility has led certain authors (Karush and Eisen, 1962) to believe that the concentration of antibodies does not reach a level which is detectable by current immunological techniques. Other authors believe that the antibodies are bound to the cells and are transferred by the cells and not through the serum (Landsteiner and Chase, 1942).
